VALLEE BLANCHE

THE VALLÉE BLANCHE ON SKIS :

This superb ski descent, Vallée Blanche, in the Mont Blanc range, is about 24 kms long. Deep in the heart of these high mountains, blue crevasses, ice falls and dramatic scenery can be found. Skiing down Vallée Blanche is surely one of nature’s finest gift. Accompanied by a certified guide, you can walk down the impressive and breath taking ridge from Aiguille du Midi to where the skiing starts, with assurance. From the summit of Aiguille du Midi (3842m), you ski down about 2800 vertical meters.

The skiing : The Vallee Blanche is entirely off-piste, unmarked and unpatroled. The weather alone determines snow conditions. Plan on spending 4/6 hours depending upon conditions, route chosen and group level.
Standard : Open to all abilities because different routes down can be chosen according to the groups ability (Envers du Plan, Rognon glacier…), though note well ; the most important thing is to have control over your skiing no matter what your personal ability. A well behaved snowplough is preferable to an out of control parallel turn !

Dates : from Christmas to May, depending on snowfall and mountain conditions.

Your guide provides you avalanche beacon and harness.

Organized group up to 6 persons.

1 or 2 persons : 440 €

3 or 4 persons : 480€

5 or 6 persons : 520€

Cable car not included.  You have to pay directly on spot for your ski pass: 86€/day per person. Note : the cable car is free with a valley skipass
