THE VALLÉE BLANCHE ON SKIS :
This superb ski descent, Vallée Blanche, in the Mont Blanc range, is about 24 kms long. Deep in the heart of these high mountains, blue crevasses, ice falls and dramatic scenery can be found. From the summit of Aiguille du Midi (3842m), you ski down about 2800 vertical meters.
The skiing : The Vallee Blanche is entirely off-piste, unmarked and unpatroled. The weather alone determines snow conditions. Plan on spending 4/6 hours depending upon conditions, route chosen and group level.
